Chelsea Reignite Interest In Veteran Striker As Lukaku Nears Man United Switch

Chelsea have reignited their interest in Swansea forward Fernando Llorente following reports that Manchester United are closing in on the signature of Romelu Lukaku.
Reports in The Times claim that the Blues have returned for the signature of the lanky forward with reports that Antonio Conte considers the striker has a viable back-up option at Stamford Bridge.
Llorente who played under Conte at Juventus, was a subject of transfer interest from his former boss during the last January transfer window and there were reports that the Italian boss personally held talks with the forward who decided to stay at Swansea during their battle against relegation.
Chelsea are said to be on the verge of losing their priority target, Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United who are believed to have offered Everton a bid close to £100million for the striker.
However, it appears Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has settled for an experienced hand in Fernando Llorente who will also be available for a cut-price fee.
Although, the 32-year-old may not be the big-name signing most Chelsea fans are waiting for after being linked with the likes of Andre Belotti, Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Wantaway striker, Diego Costa is understood to be in talks to return to his former club, Atletico Mardrid and could make the move in coming days leaving Conte with Michy Batshuayi as the only option.
