‘Stop Attacking Obasanjo’- Adebomi Warns Governor Fayose

A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Sunday Adebomi, has cautioned Governor Ayodele Fayose to stop embarrassing the state by his consistent attack against people who are older than him, particularly, former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Adebomi said Fayose by his constant disrespect for elders like former President Olusegun Obasanjo was uncalled for and lacks moral value of Yoruba culture.
According to him, the statements credited to the governor constituted an abuse of his position as the governor of the
‘Fountain of Knowledge’. Ekiti people are known for being cultured and well groomed to respect the tradition of the Yoruba race, irrespective of their position in the society.
He, therefore, urge Governor Fayose to spend his little time left in office on delivering on his promises which he had failed to fulfilled to the people of Ekiti State. He also said genuine sons and daughters of Ekiti will no longer fold their arms and watch Governor Fayose bringing the virtue, reputation and integrity of the state into disrepute on the altar of his perpetual political grandstanding.
He, however, urged Fayose to continue to toe the line of civility and follow the footsteps of prominent citizens of the state like Chief Afe Babalola, Chief Wole Olanipekun and others whose conducts had brought unprecedented respect to the State

The truth on whether Barcelona or Real Madrid receive more red cards.   Both Clasico clubs have regularly claimed to have been victimised by officials but do the official stats support either side's case? Clement Lenglet's dismissal for an alleged elbow on Pere Pons in Barcelona's Liga draw with Girona on Sunday caused all sorts of controversy. Even Pons was surprised by referee Gil Manzano's VAR-assisted decision to dismiss Lenglet, with the midfielder admitting afterwards that he thought that he had fouled the French defender. "I took a blow but when I got up, I apologised to Lenglet and shook his hand because I thought it was my fault," he confessed. As bemused Barca boss Ernesto Valverde pointed out afterwards, "It's the first time that the player who is sent off receives an apology from his rival for fouling him!" It was a significant call, too, as Barcelona were leading through a Lionel Messi...
