Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday raided the Asokoro, Abuja home of Danjuma Goje, a former governor of Gombe State. An eyewitness said the anti-graft agency’s operatives were at the house at about 6pm. The Police on Thursday arraigned a 23-year-old man, Samuel Aondofa, for allegedly disguising as a woman so as to gain sexual advances from men. Aondofa, popularly known as “Deborah”, appeared before a Makurdi Chief Magistrate’s court charged with criminal deception. The police prosecutor, Mr Omaye Ujata, one Vivian Enger, a resident of International Market area, Makurdi, reported the case at the “E” Division police station. Ujata quoted Enger as saying that the accused, a resident of Tyogbenda Jagh-Kur village in Buruku Local Government Area of Benue, disguised himself as a woman and was employed as a sales girl at her (Enger)’s beer parlour located in the said village. Former England and Aston Villa defender Ugo Ehiogu is in hospital after collapsing at Tottenham’s training centre on Thursday. The 44-year-old, who is Spurs’ Under-23s coach, received medical treatment on site before being transferred to hospital by ambulance, the Premier League club confirmed. “Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to Ugo and his family,” Tottenham added in a statement. Ehiogu has been at Spurs since 2014. He made over 200 appearances for Aston Villa between 1991 and 2000 and then spent seven years at Middlesbrough. He won the League Cup with Villa in 1996 and also with Middlesbrough in 2004. Ehiogu, who was capped four times by England, also played for West Brom, Leeds, Rangers and Sheffield United before retiring in 2009.
